• Me: Guess who has a Tuesday meeting with the chair of the English department at NWF State to discuss my professorship beginning in the fall? Me, that's who!
• D: They're going to let you teach?!? What?
• D: Gypsy 101?
• D: Wanderlust II?
• Me: Shut up. Poetry, Writing, Comp classes. I was coming back for the summer anyway, but this changes everything.
• D: No, it's great. You'll be fantastic. So you'll be here Sunday?
• Me: Yes, and thanks. I'm so excited. You know me, dream job = playing with poetry all day.
• D: I'm happy for you, and I know I should be more excited about poetry than I am.... but...
• D: Hey, speaking of ...what's the recipe for your Island Bruschetta? Now that's poetry...
