The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating — in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life.

I’m frustrated with old ideas still hanging on with sharp claws that cut deep into natural human want! Put your guilt on a shelf with a fruitcake and love yourself finally without remorse, then find someone that thinks and pull back the curtain and be known to them and gently ask them to do the same for you, then get drunk with them (but not too drunk) and eat well with them (but not too much) and get high with them (use books or weed or travel or whatever floats yer boat) and make love to them and fuck them too and after think, I am human, I am happy and this feels good and don’t let family or god or government or anyone else with stale old ideas tell you any different.
